Real Talk.....I'm just sayin'

Change your life by the graffiti artist, Indiano
(A section of the Berlin Wall, at the Imperial War Museum)

People often talk to me of how they are unhappy with particular aspects of their life. It is so easy to say if your not happy then "Change your life" and some people like to hear that flowery advice that beats around the bush just to come back to the same advice "Change your life". At the end of the day it is down to you. Your friends and family may put their two cents in and I'm sure they will sit there for hours trying to make you see the light but fact remains- if you're not willing to make that change, then things won't change. We all wish someone could wave their magic wand and eradicate the bad but to be honest bad isn't always such a bad thing. We all have to go through it, you are not the only one and those people you see living that "perfect life" probably aren't as perfect as they seem. Don't fall into the trap of measuring yourself against a "middle-class" measuring rod because if that ain't you, you will always come up short or comparing yourself to your peers or wider society, because if you can't be happy with what you got and who you are then again no one can help you out there. So you had a few knock backs, or you got your heartbroken- scars tell a story, at least you're around to tell yours.

The hardest thing to do is to be brave enough to cut people off who aren't benefiting to your existence. Allowing those people to take you for granted over and over and over again it's just not what you deserve. Write a new story and get another ending. The most refreshing thing you will experience is when you do make that change for the better and you feel you've been given another chance to write things over and start again. You have the power to do that you know! This ain't like super mario, 3 lives then game over. Follow your gut instinct, if it don't feel right, let it go.
